5 steps to maximum data security

Back in April 2021, Thales announced the end-of-life of the Vormetric Data Security Platform in June 2024.

Following the acquisition of both Vormetric in 2016 and Gemalto in 2019, Thales had two market-leading key management and data encryption solutions. The functions and strengths of both solutions have been incorporated into the new CipherTrust Data Security Platform. However, not every function is implemented in the same way as in the predecessor products, the functions are more integrated and the management philosophy also differs significantly between the product generations.

Therefore, a simple upgrade from Vormetric to CipherTrust is not possible, but rather a migration of each individual function and the respective data must be planned and carried out.
